4.1 Getting Started Down the Path to Development

Content development for Wonderland is not easy. Nor should anyone expect it to be. Creating 3D content requires a certain blend of knowledge plus artistic and technical aptitude that doesn't just happen overnight. That said, I truly believe that anyone with sufficient interest and motivation can develop the talent and skills necessary for Wonderland development. All it takes is practice, and a lot of patience and perseverance. Just getting started is half the battle, though. And that's the purpose of this module; to make it ever so slightly easier to get started down the path to Wonderland content development.

In order to get started down this path you'll need two things; (1) the Wonderland client-server source-code distribution itself, and (2) A set of 3D content development tools and associated utilities. And that's where blender comes in. But before we get into Blender, let's start off with obtaining the Wonderland build.
